I just saw that David Levine has died... the great pen and ink caricaturist for the New York Times Review of Books.
One of the heroes in this line of work...

Annick photoshoot
I was asked to take part in a video and photo shoot for my Fall 2010 book "Game Day". It's a behind-the-scenes look at the "non-athletes" who make sporting events work. People like ballpark organists, trainers, coaches, zamboni drivers...etc.
It took place at the neat offices of Annick Press - an older home in North TO.
Joanna Karaplis (who's hard work put this all together) has posted more info on the Annick blog.

Go Twins!
It's nice to see a quasi-Canadian team (small market/ cold weather/ shared political affinities) make it to the playoffs!
Sadly, their 0-7 record against the Yankees won't change. With Morneau out - it will be tough to hit enough HR, even in Yankee stadium, to beat the bats and speed the Yankees can throw at them.
I'm predicting -Yankees vs Angels = Angels + Phillies vs. Card = Cards = Angels as WS champs
